At my personal career rock bottom, both my manager and a colleague called me out on how unhappy I was. It was… highly unpleasant… but ultimately the kick in the butt I needed.

The problem was, I was hyper-focused on all the negative parts of my job, when really, I needed to understand why my current role wasn't a good fit for me and learn about myself to understand what would be a good fit.

So now I'm here to help you do the same because you can’t contribute to this world in any way if you’re crushed by an ill-fitting job, and we need you.

HERE'S WHAT'S INCLUDED:


The program is completely virtual so anyone can join. The program has 14 slots, runs for 5 weeks starting October 16th and includes:

  • 5 live teaching calls (Tuesdays 4-5pm PT) with the group via Zoom Video where I will teach on a variety of subjects, provide coaching to uncover insights from the exercises, and support you implementing all the techniques you're learning. You should plan to be on all 5 calls but there will be recordings if for some reason you have to miss one.

  • 5 pre-recorded teaching calls with additional topics and 5 additional exercises to get even more of the knowledge and experiences I’ve collected on this topic. These can be watched any time.

  • A 30-minute individual coaching session with me to get tailored help for your specific situation.

  • Assigned exercises each week to provide frameworks for you to think about your career and how to find a job that fits.

  • Action prompts each week to get you out of thinking mode and fully into action mode.

  • Unlimited email access so that I can support you through the actions you’re taking in real time.

  • Access to a private Facebook group where you’ll get support, ideas and inspiration from the other participants in the program.

  • Optional accountability buddy! I'll pair up anyone who is interested in having a designated buddy to keep in touch with during the week and get even more support.

Week 1 - Learn how to make decisions based on what’s important to you and what you need in a job

Week 2 - Evaluate and understand your current job, have the chance to intentionally choose it (or not!) and know WHY you’re making that choice

  • Identify ways to make small but impactful changes to your current role

  • Discover which activities give you energy and which drain your energy

  • Shift the way you think about problems

  • Take action on things you’ve been meaning to do for a long time to rebuild confidence and self-trust

Week 3 - Regain your confidence and control over your time and energy at work

  • Discover your top 5 strengths and be able to convey them clearly

  • Identify ways to implement and build on those strengths

  • Identify and be able to communicate the situations where you’re at your best

  • Start saying no more and doing less in order to focus on what matters

  • Regain control of your own time and energy at work

Week 4 - Build a framework to CHOOSE your next steps instead of taking the path of least resistance

  • Discover your inner critic voices and learn how to interact with them powerfully

  • Create a framework for assessing opportunities and making confident decisions

  • Turn worries/hesitations about a job into effective conversations

Week 5 - Create next steps with confidence, reflect and CELEBRATE

  • Identify the working conditions that allow you to do your best work

  • Learn how to stop worrying about making the “right” decision

  • Brainstorm potential next steps


Nothing has really changed, per se. But I feel much more at peace about my job and where I am at. I have been telling people left and right about how helpful this was to me! Do it! It was completely worth it.

FAQs

  • I’ve changed job X times now and I’m still unhappy. How will this be any different?

    • I would bet that if we sit down and look at why you were unhappy at your previous 4 jobs, we’d be able to find some pretty consistent themes of what wasn’t working. Could be daily work, could be environment, could be misalignment with your strengths or values, etc. This program is different because it gives you a very practical framework for understanding your lack of fulfillment. We systematically learn everything about what you need and what wasn’t working about your past roles so you can build a framework for fulfillment in your next step.

  • Do I need to quit my job to be happy?

    • Great question! It depends! Some people find that quitting is the best next step for them and some people have such a profound mindset shift that they have a new understanding of their current role and don’t feel the need to quit. The secret is finding out what the right answer is for YOU and this program will absolutely help you do that.

  • You already know my soul is crushed and I have no energy, how am I going to commit to 5 weeks of work?

    • Every exercise you do and every action you take is explicitly designed to give you back a piece of your soul. I will shift your mindset about your current role, give you strategies to make changes, give you confidence by showing you why your unhappiness makes total and complete sense and get you into action mode. Plus you’ll immediately feel less overwhelmed and alone in the struggle because you’ll get to connect with others in the same spot. The longer you stay crushed, the longer it takes to rebuild your energy and your confidence so there’s a real urgency to getting you un-crushed.

  • Will other people see me failing/struggling? I am nervous about sharing personal things in my life where I’m struggling and not very proud of where I am.

    • This is one of the most common fears. It can be incredibly scary and vulnerable to share parts of your life with people you don’t know. It can also feel incredibly freeing and normalizing. I’ve been running workshops for a few years now and the thing people love MOST about the workshop is getting to be with other people who are in the same boat they are. Sharing with a group has the effect of normalizing what feels so unique and lonely. Participants find it calming and reassuring to be with other people who are struggling with the same things. To know that you’re not alone and be supported by other people who understand your struggle is incredibly powerful. 

  • The amount of homework seems daunting and you’re saying all the answers have to come from me?

    • I get that, it’s true that it’s a lot of work and it’s hard!! AND what I’m promising you is results, confidence and clarity on everything that matters to you, not something that is easy. That being said, the program is incredibly structured and I’ll be there to guide you with every step of the homework so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. One participant’s favorite part of the program was the homework because it caused her to be introspective about what was happening, within a framework that was helpful.

  • Why would I pay for this service?

    • Because having skin in the game is a powerful way to get yourself into action. It also gives you support and inspiration from others who are going through the same difficult situation of feeling crushed and not knowing how to make a decision they’ll be happy with. I know from personal experience how hard it is to get out the feeling of being crushed without getting external support.

  • What if I have to miss a call?

    • You should plan to be on all 5 live calls but life happens and if you have to miss a call, they will all be recorded.

  • What’s your refund policy?

    • I’m offering no refunds (unless there are exceptional circumstances) and let me tell you why. One of my jobs is to hold you accountable to what you want to achieve and help you fiercely guard this time for yourself so you can finally figure out how to find a job that fits.
