You never really chose the role you’re in.

You got here by falling into job after job (and maybe every job you’ve ever had?) and following the path of least resistance.

Now you’re feeling uninspired, unfulfilled and/or crushed by your ill-fitting job and you don’t know what would actually make you happy at work.

Staying in an ill-fitting role for too long is soul crushing.

Maybe you’ve made some changes but you’re still unfulfilled with every move you’ve made.

Or maybe your options seem infinite and you don’t even know where to start. You’re paralyzed with indecision and don’t want to make a move unless you can figure out why you’re so unfulfilled in your current job.

How do you make a decision with confidence? How do you make choices that support your long-term career and not just your next job?

Let me take a guess that you are apathetic about work (at best) and it's leaking into the rest of your life. You may still be ruminating about or second-guessing past career decisions.

Instead of pouring your energy into fruitless job searching or going round in circles and never taking any action, give your energy to a rigorous exploration of what you need out a job so you can FINALLY find a job that fits.

At my personal career rock bottom, both my manager and a colleague called me out on how unhappy I was. It was… highly unpleasant… but ultimately the kick in the butt I needed.

The problem was, I was hyper-focused on all the negative parts of my job, when really, I needed to understand why my current role wasn't a good fit for me and learn about myself to understand what would be a good fit.

So now I'm here to help you do the same because you can’t contribute to this world in any way if you’re crushed by an ill-fitting job, and we need you.

  • You’re unhappy with where you are currently (especially when all your friends are so accomplished and have everything figured out!) and feel like you should be farther ahead.

  • You don’t feel positive at work which is completely misaligned from your identity and how you want to be in the world. You’ve lost your drive and your spark and you just don’t care anymore.

  • You’re nervous about making a move without being able to identify what the problem is and why you’re so unhappy, otherwise you’ll just carry the problem with you wherever you go.

  • You’ve landed your dream job… but even there - at what you consider the top - you’re unsatisfied.

  • You’re overwhelmed by the message that “anything is possible!”, what you need is a way to weed away options and narrow the field.

  • You’re clueless about what you’re doing with your life.

Maybe you’ve tried quitting. Maybe you’ve tried caring less. Maybe you’ve tried lowering your expectations for your job. And nothing has worked.

So let’s face an inconvenient truth...

If you don’t learn how to identify jobs that are a good fit for you, the same thing will happen in your next job. And the next. And the next. (And the next.)

If you don’t know what you’re looking for in a job and what fulfills you at work, how can you expect anyone else to help you get there?

No more spending all your time and energy on work that drains you and living life with a crushed soul. I want you to have agency and confidence in making decisions that feel good to you.

This is why I’ve designed this program, Crushed to Confident, with three main objectives:

  1. Get you un-crushed through regaining your confidence, getting new perspectives and taking action.

  2. Rigorously evaluate and understand your current job so that you get a second chance to actively choose it (or not!) and know exactly why you’re making that decision.

  3. Help you confidently make decisions that feel good to you so that you’re able to narrow an overwhelming field of options and evaluate future opportunities.

don't know.jpg

This means you’ll be able to:

  • Make concrete progress towards your next step (get out of just thinking and into doing)

  • Gain clarity on your career goals

  • Find direction and feel like you’re going somewhere with purpose

  • Build a framework to make choices that feel good to you and use it to assess opportunities

  • Confidently convey what your strengths are and what makes you feel happy, fulfilled and rewarded at work

  • Assess your job for what it is instead of thinking the grass is always greener

  • Understand what you need from a work environment instead of just following the shiny job

  • Make decisions with no. second. guessing.

  • Be in charge of your career choices and not let life and career happen to you

  • Find a renewed passion, energy and interest in your work

CRUSHED TO CONFIDENT will help you do all of that and more.

I was bored, undervalued at my job and having difficulty finding a new one or knowing what a career might look like for me. Now I’ve got more clarity on the types of roles that might fit me and tools to learn more about myself. It was way more/better than what I could have hoped for. If you’re on the fence, you’re wasting your time....just freaking do it. It will 100% help you even if you aren’t looking for a job or pursuing a career change.

  • Unlimited email access so that I can support you through the actions you’re taking in real time

  • Access to a private Facebook group where you’ll get support, ideas and inspiration from the other participants in the program

  • Optional accountability buddy! I'll pair up anyone who is interested in having a designated buddy to keep in touch with during the week and get even more support

And here’s what we’ll cover each week:

Week 1 - Learn how to make decisions based on what’s important to you and what you need in a job

  • Discover your values based on how you’ve lived your life
  • Acknowledge the external pressure that exists in your own life
  • Try on the idea of a “Good Enough Job”

Week 2 - Regain your confidence and get into action mode

  • Discover your top 5 strengths and be able to convey them clearly
  • Identify ways to implement and build on those strengths
  • Take action on things you’ve been meaning to do for a long time to rebuild confidence and self-trust

Week 3 - Evaluate and understand your current job, have the chance to intentionally choose it (or not!) and know WHY you’re making that choice

  • Assess your fulfillment in 8 different areas of work
  • Discover which activities give you energy and which drain your energy
  • Shift the way you think about problems

Week 4 - Make changes to your current role to make it a better fit, whether for the short or long term

  • Identify the working conditions that allow you to do your best work
  • Start saying no more and doing less in order to focus on what matters
  • Regain control of your own time and energy at work

Week 5 - Build a framework to CHOOSE your next steps instead of taking the path of least resistance

  • Create a framework for assessing opportunities and making confident decisions
  • Brainstorm potential next steps
  • Turn worries/hesitations about a job into effective conversations

This program WILL NOT automatically connect you with a role/title that you should be doing as your next step. What it WILL do is teach you to evaluate different roles/companies based on what works for you, get into exploration mode, and make decisions that you’ll be confident about.

You’ll also get to remember who you are and get back to contributing to this world in a way that feels good to you.

And the crazy thing is that you don’t need much to get back to that un-crushed person. With a few exercises, mindset shifts, new frameworks and reminders of when you were nailing it, you’ll be back in action, I see it time and time again with clients. Let me help you get back to making decisions with confidence and showing up to work the way you want to.

$750 $450 - For the 10 participants in the pilot round, I’m offering a significant discount in exchange for feedback. The next round the price will bump up to the full $750.

Whatever you’re doing isn’t working for you and you’ve taken as many steps to help yourself as you could. If you’re looking for Lindsay to tell you what to do and what career to choose, this isn’t the right program for you. If you’re willing to work hard to really get to know yourself and what you value, both personally and professionally, working with Lindsay will accomplish that, hands down. Working with Lindsay is worth every penny!

If you’re ready to make career decisions with confidence, there are 10 9 spots left:

For the first time I feel like I can say I enjoy aspects of my work and can focus on them as much as possible. Nothing has changed at my company, but how I react has. I explain things calmly and respectfully and am firm and for the first time I feel I am beginning to get the outcomes I have wanted.
— P. W., Assistant Director

  • I’ve changed job X times now and I’m still unhappy. How will this be any different?

    • I would bet that if we sit down and look at why you were unhappy at your previous 4 jobs, we’d be able to find some pretty consistent themes of what wasn’t working. Could be daily work, could be environment, could be misalignment with your strengths or values, etc. This program is different because it gives you a very practical framework for understanding your lac of fulfillment. We systematically learn everything about what you need and what wasn’t working about your past roles so you can build a framework for fulfillment in your next step.

  • Do I need to quit my job to be happy?

    • Great question! It depends! Some people find that quitting is the best next step for them and some people have such a profound mindset shift that they have a new understanding of their current role and don’t feel the need to quit. The secret is finding out what the right answer is for YOU and this program will absolutely help you do that.

  • You already know my soul is crushed and I have no energy, how am I going to commit to 5 weeks of work?

    • Every exercise you do and every action you take is explicitly designed to give you back a piece of your soul. I will shift your mindset about your current role, give you strategies to make changes, give you confidence by showing you why your unhappiness makes total and complete sense and get you into action mode. Plus you’ll immediately feel less overwhelmed and alone in the struggle because you’ll get to connect with others in the same spot. The longer you stay crushed, the longer it takes to rebuild your energy and your confidence so there’s a real urgency to getting you un-crushed.

  • Will other people see me failing/struggling?

    • I’ve been running workshops for a few years now and the thing people love MOST about the workshop is getting to be with other people who are in the same boat they are. Sharing with a group has the effect of normalizing what feels so unique and lonely. Participants find it calming and reassuring to be with other people who are struggling with the same things. To know that you’re not alone and be supported by other people who understand your struggle is incredibly powerful.

  • How does it compare to your 3 month program?

    • The 3 month program is done individually and it goes further in depth into creating the plan of what comes next. Otherwise, this program is designed as the group version of my 3 month program. It includes all the wisdom and experiences I’ve collected from working with clients over the years as well as the support, ideas, partnership and inspiration from 9 other participants.

  • Why would I pay for this service?

    • Because having skin in the game is a powerful way to get yourself into action. It also gives you support and inspiration from others who are going through the same difficult situation of feeling crushed and not knowing how to make a decision they’ll be happy with. I know from personal experience how hard it is to get out the feeling of being crushed without getting external support.

  • What’s your refund policy?

    • I’m offering no refunds for the pilot round and let me tell you why. One of my jobs is to hold you accountable to what you want to achieve and help you fiercely guard this time for yourself so you can finally figure out how to find a job that fits. I am committed to you getting great results and I want YOU in and committed. I know how easy it is for you to give up on yourself and your needs when you’re crushed and unsure if you’ll ever find anything you enjoy again. Let this be the first step in believing in yourself and regaining your energy and joy.

Lindsay was awesome to work with! She pulled insecurities out, framed realistic views and shared loads of knowledge and helpful information. She got me out of a state of inertia and engaged. I have my confidence back.

Time with Lindsay is well spent. I’m glad I enrolled when I did. I went from feeling exhausted and not motivated all the time to feeling reinvigorated, so much so I’ve become a force of nature.
